Somalia's Covid-19 Cases Rise to 2,860

On June 24, 2020, Somalia's Minister of Health and Public Wellbeing, Dr. Fawzia Abikar Nur, announced eight new Covid-19 recoveries, bringing the total to 837.

During a daily media briefing, Dr. Nur revealed that 25 new cases were confirmed, increasing the total number of recorded positive cases to 2,860, with 19 males and 6 females affected.

According to the minister, 17 of the new cases were reported in Somaliland, 7 in Mogadishu, and 1 in the South West State of Somalia.

Dr. Nur urged citizens to adhere to preventive measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.
