Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Akothee has left her fans in stitches with a throwback wedding photo and a hilarious caption.
According to Akothee, she was legally married to her first love, Jared, the father of her daughters, at an SDA church many years ago.
She took the opportunity to throw shade at those who judge her by her social media posts, saying not to imagine she emerged from the streets of Koinange just because she posts twerking videos.
She wrote, 'Weh my friend! I was legally married in church. Don't see me twerking naked on social media and imagine I just emerged from the streets of Koinange.'
Akothee also jokingly referred to her long dress and oversized shoes as 'AWENDO SDA CHURCH' and 'Gameshoe.'
Her fans and friends reacted with amusement, making fun of her long dress and funny-looking shoes.
Some of the reactions included Naomi Mukami, who praised Akothee for being an example of what process can do, and Chris Kirwa, who joked that her shoes could be used to make roads in Siaya.
