However, in a surprising turn of events, Raila's brother and family spokesperson, Oburu Odinga, revealed that the former Prime Minister was actually in Dubai for minor surgery at a high-end health facility owned by German nationals.
According to Oburu, Raila left the country on Sunday, June 21, and is currently in good health condition, with plans to return soon.
