On June 24, a 42-year-old man from Kakamega Town tragically lost his life after allegedly overdosing on Viagra, a sex enhancement drug.
According to Kakamega Central OCPD, David Kabena, the deceased, Mr. Munala, had booked a room at Amazon Hotel in Kakamega Town on June 23 with his 31-year-old mistress, Ms. Anyango, from Siaya County.
Ms. Anyango was the only one who ate dinner, which they ordered at 3:45pm, before heading to their room.
Early on June 24, Ms. Anyango frantically stormed out of the room and informed the lodging manager that her partner had died after overdosing on sex enhancement drugs.
Police were called, and the deceased was taken to Kakamega County Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue, where a postmortem was conducted.
The autopsy revealed that the deceased succumbed to a heart attack believed to have been caused by Viagra overdose.
Further investigations into the man's death are ongoing, according to OCPD Kabena.
The deceased was a married man with an 8-year-old son and a wife of ten years.
His widow revealed that her husband had not been intimate with her for over a year.
