Kenyan Woman Dies in Florida Car Crash

On June 20, 2020, a devastating car crash occurred in Jacksonville, Florida, claiming the life of Jane Njeri Ngugi, a Kenyan woman.

According to authorities, Ngugi was driving to work from her friend's house when she lost control of her car and crashed into a ditch, resulting in her death.

Ngugi, who had recently moved to Florida from Washington, DC, was pronounced dead at a local hospital after efforts to resuscitate her failed.

Her sister expressed her grief, stating, "She was a brand new driver who gave us worry sometimes but she needed to drive to work and that car ended her life."

Ngugi leaves behind a 13-year-old son and was with a friend at the time of the accident, who was rushed to Baptist South for treatment but the condition of the passenger remains unknown.

The Jacksonville police are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
