On June 24th, 2020, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced the resumption of Police Clearance Certificates (Certificate of Good Conduct) issuance, effective the next day.

According to the DCI, new guidelines have been put in place to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of these measures, the DCI will process 600 clients daily, from 7 am to 4 pm, at its Muthaiga headquarters.

Only applicants with scheduled appointments will be allowed entry, and they can book their appointments through https://dci.ecitizen.go.ke/applications.

With over 37,751 pending applications, the DCI aims to process them expeditiously while adhering to social distancing measures.

As the DCI resumes its operations, it has advised applicants to log in to the ECitizen platform and book their appointments, indicating the date and exact time of their attendance.
