On June 24, 2020, a heartwarming story of transformation was shared on Gidi Gidi's popular show, Unganishow. The show, which connects singles through live video calls, has been a sensation since its inception a few weeks ago, following the imposition of a dusk-to-dawn curfew across the country.
Mugambi, a Kenyan man, opened up about his life experience, leaving many touched by his story. He revealed that before an accident that left him confined to a wheelchair, he would often drink with his male friends and return home to mistreat his wife.
However, after the accident, Mugambi gained a new perspective on life. He realized that he could learn to appreciate and respect his wife, who had been patient and understanding throughout his struggles.
Sharing his experience, Mugambi said,
“Wakati mimi nilikuwa natembea before an accident that left me confined to a wheelchair, I would drink with my male pals and come back home and mistreat my wife before the accident. Wakati nilipata accident ndio nilijua mwanaume anaweza bembeleza bibi yake, mtoto, unaeza ongea na kila mtu na muelewane,”
He added,
“Bibi yangu hata anashangaanga kama ni mimi. Namwitanga bae.”
Mugambi's words of wisdom were met with applause from the audience, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts and reactions.
