On June 24, 2020, vivo officially launched its innovative smartphone V19 in Kenya, marking a significant milestone in the country's mobile technology landscape.
The V19 boasts a sleek design and cutting-edge features, including a dual punch-hole camera and Super AMOLED FHD+ Ultra O Screen display.
According to Arthur Xian, vivo Kenya CEO, the V19 is designed with the consumer in mind, reflecting the company's deep understanding of consumers' needs. 'With industry-leading selfie technology, a beautiful design, and strong performance, V19 is perfect for young consumers who care about the camera and entertainment features,' he said.
The V19's dual front camera features a 32MP main camera and an 8MP super wide-angle camera, allowing users to capture stunning selfies with a wide-angle view of up to 105 degrees. The front camera also supports an Ultra-Stable Selfie Video feature, providing a new level of stability to wide-angle selfie videos.
Arthur Xian added, 'V19 is a trendsetting smartphone built to complement young consumers' lifestyles. Uniquely designed with a dual front camera that offers significant advantages for selfie lovers over other smartphones in its class, V19 is a breakthrough for the Kenyan market.'
The V19 also features a powerful AI Quad Camera at the rear, comprising a 48MP main camera, 8MP super wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP Bokeh camera. The device is equipped with AI image and video features, including AI Video Filters, AI Video Editor, and AI Image Matting for professional-grade editable videos.
Both the front and rear cameras are equipped with special modes to capture stunning photos at night, including Super Night Selfie and Super Night Portrait modes.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 712 processor, the V19 offers a fast interface and top computing performance. It is equipped with 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM, allowing users to store everything they need for work, rest, and play.
The V19 will be available for pre-order at vivo outlets, with an official launch on July 2, 2020. It will be available in Gleam Black and Sleek Silver options for Ksh 40,999 locally.
