On June 24, 2020, QuickMart, Kenya's fastest-growing retail chain, marked a significant milestone in its expansion drive by opening its 32nd branch in Kilimani.

The new store is the flagship outlet in the Kilimani, Hurlingham, and Lavington area, offering a wide range of products, including fruits, vegetables, clothes, liquor, and furniture.

According to Ms. Betty Wamaitha, Marketing and Communication Manager at QuickMart, the retailer's rapid growth can be attributed to its merger with Tumaini at the end of last year.

“End of last year we merged with Tumaini to form one strong business. We have a fund that we are investing in the business, which has enabled us to expand rapidly as a result of that,” Ms. Wamaitha said.

QuickMart is now the third-largest retailer in Kenya, offering a diverse range of products to its customers.

The retailer plans to expand further, with another store scheduled to open in Embakasi, serving the Nyayo estate area.

Currently, QuickMart has 3 stores in Kisumu, 2 in Nakuru, and the remaining in Nairobi, with plans to open more branches in the near future.
