Published on June 24, 2020, Huawei Y8p and Huawei Y6p have finally arrived in Kenya, with the former retailing at Kshs 24,999 and the latter at Kshs 14,999. Both devices come with a free Bluetooth headset for the first week.
The Huawei Y8p boasts a 48MP AI Triple Camera setup, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 6.3-inch OLED Huawei Dewdrop Display. In contrast, the Huawei Y6p features a 13MP main camera, 3GB of RAM, and a 6.3-inch HUAWEI Dewdrop display, with a highlight being its 5000mAh battery.
The Huawei Y8p's camera setup includes a 48MP main camera, 8MP wide-angle camera, and 2MP depth camera, which supports Super Night Photography for improved low-light shooting capabilities. The device's 1/2-inch sensor enhances light sensitivity, while the onboard AI stabilizes shots for perfectly lit photos.
The Huawei Y6p's large 5000mAh battery provides up to 32 hours of video playback or 20 hours of internet surfing on a single charge. It also features Huawei Power Saving mode and can function as a power bank to charge other devices.
Both devices come pre-installed with HUAWEI AppGallery, Huawei's official app marketplace, which offers a wide selection of global and local apps, as well as entertainment media on HUAWEI Video, HUAWEI Music, and HUAWEI Reader.
