On June 24, 2020, news broke that former K24 anchor Betty Kyallo had acquired a new car, a 2019 Porsche Cayenne, just days after quitting the media station.
The car, estimated to cost $66,750 (Sh7.1 million), including a $1,050 destination charge, was the subject of much speculation among Kyallo's fans.
However, it has since been revealed that the car actually belongs to Motor Hub yard along Kiambu road, and Kyallo was not its owner.
According to reports, Kyallo was set to promote the car yard when she decided to flaunt the car on her Instagram page, which led to her being published as the owner of the new Porsche.
As a result, Kyallo's name became associated with the car, and she was subsequently denied the opportunity to promote the car yard.
It is worth noting that Kyallo had announced her exit from Mediamax's K24 on May 30, 2020, barely two years after she joined the station as a member of the dream team.
