On June 22, President Uhuru Kenyatta removed Aden Duale as the National Assembly Majority Leader, a move that sparked a mix of reactions from lawmakers.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Orange Democratic Movement Chairman and National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi showered Duale with rare praise, hailing him as an efficient leader who addressed government business in the National Assembly.
Mbadi, who is also the Gwasi Member of Parliament, noted that Duale's dedication and ability to deliver made him a unique leader, and that no one can replicate his sovereignty in the House.
According to Mbadi, the dismissal of Duale from the plum position was not due to his failure to deliver, but rather a personal decision by President Kenyatta.
It is worth noting that Duale's ouster came after he failed to distance himself from Deputy President William Ruto, a move that was seen as a major blow to his leadership.
Despite the controversy surrounding his ouster, Mbadi's praise for Duale has sparked a debate on social media, with many questioning the motives behind the ODM Chairman's actions.
