Published on June 23, 2020, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that seven more players have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to 10.
Despite the outbreak, players who have tested negative will depart for the tour of England on June 28 as scheduled.
PCB chief executive Wasim Khan assured that the tour is 'very much on track' and the side will depart as planned.
The Pakistan team is set to meet England in three Tests and three Twenty20s, beginning in August.
England director of cricket Ashley Giles expressed hope that Pakistan would arrive 'fairly soon' and that the Test series would not be affected by the outbreak.
Players who have tested positive, including Haider Ail, Haris Rauf, and Shadab Khan, have been told to observe 'strict quarantine at their homes.'
Those who have tested negative will undergo further testing on Thursday and depart for the UK as planned, with additional testing upon arrival.
