June 23, 2020 - Cristiano Ronaldo has shattered another record in Serie A, becoming the leading Portuguese scorer in the league's history after his goal in Juventus' 2-0 win over Bologna on Monday.
The 35-year-old had struggled for form since the return of football, but he was back amongst the goals against Bologna after his cool first-half penalty set Juve on their way to a comfortable victory.
His strike was his 43rd in Serie A since joining the club, one more than the 42 his compatriot Rui Costa managed in the eight years he spent at Fiorentina and Milan between 1994-2006.
Ronaldo is already the top-scoring Portuguese player in Premier League history following his 84 goals for Manchester United, and he also comfortably holds the record in La Liga after his staggering 311 goals in 292 appearances for Real Madrid.
