On June 22, 2020, a significant shift occurred in the Kenyan political landscape when Aden Duale was unceremoniously ousted as Majority Leader. His replacement, Mr. Amos Kimunya, marked a new chapter in the country's politics.

However, not everyone was pleased with this development. Nazlin Umar, a veteran politician and former presidential aspirant, took to her Facebook page to express her joy over Duale's fall from power.

Umar, who has been at odds with Duale since their affair was exposed in 2017, posted a cartoon allegedly mocking Duale. The caption read, 'This is too much, I can’t stop laughing!! My ribs have broken. Someone please translate what Aden Duale is saying,' accompanied by 22 laughing emojis.

Umar's reaction was not surprising, given the tumultuous relationship between the two. The 10-minute audio recording, which has been made public, reveals a three-year affair between Duale and Umar. However, the relationship ended abruptly due to Duale's inability to spend quality time with Umar.

As the founder chair of the National Muslim Council of Kenya, Umar's celebration of Duale's downfall has sparked mixed reactions. While some see it as a personal victory, others view it as a reflection of the country's growing political tensions.
