Published on June 23, 2020, a photo of Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has gone viral, showing her playing Solitaire on her phone during an ongoing impeachment hearing.

According to the photo, shared by Star, Waiguru was seen scrolling through and arranging the cards while the session was going on, seemingly unfazed by the gravity of the situation.

Earlier in the hearing, Waiguru had claimed that the MCAs were on a 'fishing expedition' and that their evidence was 'unintelligible.'

However, the impeachment motion against Waiguru continues to gain momentum, with the 11-member Senate Committee probing charges against her declining to grant her request to expunge certain documents from the senate records.

Waiguru's lawyer, Paul Nyamodi, had argued that the documents contained new evidence and should be struck out, but the committee rejected the request.
