Kenya's Covid-19 cases have risen to 4952 after 155 individuals tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours on June 23, 2020.
According to the Health Ministry, 4,171 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, with Kibera leading in the number of cases registered by sub-counties in Nairobi.
Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi stated during the daily Covid-19 briefing at Afya House that 102 individuals had been discharged, bringing the number of recoveries to 1782.
Unfortunately, three individuals succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 128.
The distribution of cases by age and gender is as follows: 120 males, 35 females, with the youngest being 1-year-old and the eldest 77 years old.
The distribution of cases by county is as follows: Nairobi 104, Busia 19, Migori 10, Mombasa 9, Uasin Gishu 4, Kiambu 3, Machakos 2, Nakuru 2, Kisumu 1, Kajiado 1.
Within Nairobi, the distribution of cases by sub-county is as follows: Kibera 20, Dagoretti North 17, Starehe 13, Westlands 10, Mathare 9, Langata 8, Kasarani 6, Embakassi South 4, Roysambu 4, Ruaraka 4, Kibra North 3, Makadara 2, Emba east 2, Dagoretti South 1, Embakasi East 1.
