Kenya Records 155 New Covid-19 Cases, Total Tally Reaches 4,952

On June 23, 2020, Kenya's Health Chief Administrative Secretary, Mercy Mwangangi, announced that the country had recorded 155 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The new cases bring the total tally of confirmed cases to 4,952, with 146,537 samples tested in the country so far.

Of the new cases, 120 are male while 35 are female, with ages ranging from one to 77 years.

The highest number of new confirmed cases was recorded in Nairobi, with 104 cases, followed by Busia with 19 cases, Migori with 10 cases, and Mombasa with nine cases.

Three more people died from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, bringing the total virus deaths in the country to 128.

Over the same period, 102 people were discharged from hospitals, according to Dr Mwangangi.
