On June 23, 2020, the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) summoned musician Muigai wa Njoroge over a song he released, which has sparked controversy and gained over six million views.

The song, which has been trending under the hashtag #eno_migunda, has been accused of promoting design elements that could cause tension among communities.

According to the summons, Muigai wa Njoroge is required to appear before the NCIC offices in Upper Hill by June 26th.

The song, which was released last week, has been interpreted in various ways, with some seeing it as a commentary on the struggles of freedom fighters, while others believe it is a critique of political dynasties and the concentration of power among certain families.

Some of the lyrics have been seen as insensitive, with references to the demolition of homes and the suffering of the people.
