Promotion to Glory of Rose Githinji (Mama Mungai)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose Githinji, affectionately known as Mama Mungai, who left this world on June 9th, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital in Patterson, New Jersey, after suffering a stroke.

She was a devoted mother to Charles Mungai Githinji, Gabriel Ng'anga Githinji, Michael Mwaura Githinji, Suzan Githinji, Peter Njuku Githinji, and David Thiongo Githinji, all of Kenya, and George Murugami of Baltimore.

She was also a loving aunt to many, including Carol & George Gaita, Irene Toomer, Liz Muthemba, Mary Muthoni, Caroline Muthoni, John & Mugeshi Waithaka, Racheal Wanjiku, Esther & Paul Kamaru, Pauline Njuku, Shiro Njuku, Beatrice Wairimu, Lydia & Joe Mathu, and George Njuku, among others.

She was a cherished grandmother to many, including Booby Brian Murugami, Gloria & Moses Kuna, Hellen & Kimathi Njuguna, James & Imna Muriithi, Peter & Akira Muriithi, and many more.
