On June 21, 2020, media personality Betty Kyallo's emotional tribute to her daughter Ivanna left her in tears during the little girl's birthday celebration.
Although Ivanna was born on June 22, 2020, her mother decided to throw her a party a day earlier, with her father Dennis Okari and a few close family members and friends in attendance.
As seen in a video posted on her YouTube channel, Betty struggled to hold back tears as she narrated the harrowing experience of watching her daughter fight for her life in the ICU for over a month.
'Last year, a time like this, I remember my baby was so sick, so sick! She was in ICU for a month and a half,' Betty recalled, her voice trembling with emotion.
She continued, 'I woke up one day last year and she couldn't walk. The next day she couldn't talk, the next day she couldn't eat, she couldn't sit... it just went downhill for so long before I even knew what was wrong.'
Reflecting on the darkest moments, Betty expressed her trust in God, hoping to see Ivanna back home, and shared a poignant moment where she wondered if her daughter would ever return to her bed.
