Wahu Kagwi's journey to self-discovery and empowerment is a testament to the human spirit's ability to overcome adversity.
As a teenager, Wahu struggled with feelings of inadequacy, believing herself to be ugly, unintelligent, and unworthy of love. These negative self-perceptions persisted into her early twenties, leaving her uncertain about her future.
However, Wahu's life took a dramatic turn for the better. She went on to become a successful singer, wife, mother, and entrepreneur, and now uses her platform to encourage others to believe in themselves and their worth.
'As a teenager and into my early twenties, I had terrible self-esteem issues,' Wahu recalled. 'I felt ugly, unintelligent and unworthy of being loved. I never thought I'd amount to anything much in life.'
But Wahu's message to her fans is one of hope and resilience. She urges them to never doubt their worth, reminding them that God's love is unconditional and that they are deserving of happiness and success.
'I wish I could go back in time and tell 17-year-old Wahu that everything's gonna be more than okay,' she said. 'That God is on her side and she will overcome. I don't know who needs to hear this, but don't believe the lies the devil will throw your way. God's got you, young girl... God's got you, young man. And there's nothing like being worthy of God's love – no, His love is unconditional.'
