June 22, 2020 - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that three players have tested positive for coronavirus ahead of the team's tour of England next month.
Leg-spinner Shadab Khan, fast bowler Haris Rauf, and teenage batsman Haider Ali have all tested positive for COVID-19 despite showing no symptoms and will now go into self-isolation.
The PCB is testing its players and officials ahead of the tour, which will also see games played in Southampton, as Pakistan experiences a surge in coronavirus cases.
Over 180,000 cases have been reported in the country, with 3,590 deaths, although real numbers are thought to be much higher.
The PCB has also tested 23 players and 12 team officials, with results due on Tuesday, and additional tests are planned for later in the week in Lahore.
Players who test positive must remain in quarantine for two weeks before being allowed to rejoin teammates in England following two successive negative tests.
The team will eventually practice in a 'bio-secure' environment, and Pakistan players will be subject to mandatory quarantine upon arrival in England.
