On June 20, 2020, a tragic car accident occurred in Jacksonville, Florida, claiming the life of Jane Njeri, a Kenyan woman.
A 911 call was made after Jane's car went into a ditch near Bartram Park Boulevard, with the caller reporting that the vehicle was filling with water and they were unable to escape.
Using GPS, police located the car near a condominium complex off Eclipse Circle, just east of Bartram Park Boulevard.
According to her sister, Jane was a brand new driver who had recently moved from Washington DC to Florida to start a new job. The car was essential for her to commute to work, but it ultimately ended her life.
Jane leaves behind a 13-year-old son who is struggling to cope with the sudden loss of his mother.
