Kenyan Woman Dies in Car Accident in Jacksonville, Florida

On Saturday, a tragic car accident occurred in Jacksonville, Florida, resulting in the death of a Kenyan woman.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a 911 call was received at approximately 2:42am from a person who reported their car had crashed into a ditch and was submerged in water.

With the help of GPS, police located the vehicle near a condominium complex off Eclipse Circle, just east of Bartram Park Boulevard.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded promptly and managed to rescue two people from the submerged vehicle, a driver and a passenger.

Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced dead after efforts to resuscitate her failed, while the passenger's condition remains unknown.

The deceased had recently moved to Florida and acquired the car to start a new job, and was driving to work from her friend's house at the time of the accident.
