Kenyan Woman Dies in Car Accident in Jacksonville, Florida

On Saturday, a tragic car accident occurred in Jacksonville, Florida, resulting in the death of a Kenyan woman.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a 911 call was made at approximately 2:42am, reporting a car submerged in water after driving into a ditch.

With the assistance of GPS, police located the vehicle near a condominium complex off Eclipse Circle, just east of Bartram Park Boulevard.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) responded promptly and managed to rescue two people from the submerged vehicle, a driver and a passenger.

Unfortunately, despite efforts to resuscitate her, the driver was pronounced dead at Baptist South. The condition of the passenger remains unknown.

The deceased's family revealed that she had recently moved to Florida and acquired the car to start a new job, and was driving to work from her friend's house at the time of the accident.
