On June 22, 2020, Eric 'Ledama' Njoka bid farewell to K24 TV after serving as a news anchor for 7 years.

As part of a mass firing, Njoka was among several big names shown the door by Mediamax's management, citing redundancy.

On his Facebook page, Njoka expressed gratitude to his fans and the management for the opportunity to serve the station.

"I did my part, I played my role with poise and dignity, and I'm proud of it. My 7-year journey @K24Tv has ended, now #Anchorman is ready to take over the world…Focus Onwards, look inwards. Viva!" he wrote.

Before joining K24 in 2013, Njoka worked as an anchor and reporter at KTN. He holds a Diploma in Social Communication from Catholic University.

He joins a list of 14 employees, including Carren Kibet, Dennis Matara, and Karen Karimi, who have had their positions voided due to the redundancy notice.
