Comedian and media personality Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang'o, has ended his two-year stint at Milele FM, where he co-hosted the breakfast show with Alex Mwakideu since July 2018.

On his Instagram page, Jalang'o revealed that he had been in discussions with Mediamax, the parent company of Milele FM, but the talks did not yield any positive results.

According to Jalang'o, his last day at the media house was Friday, June 19, and he thanked his fans and supporters for their loyalty during his time at the station.

He wrote, 'I was not at work today because we had not agreed on a lot of things and terms and even as we speak my HR had me on hold discussing the terms of my employment.'

He also stated that he would not be returning to work, saying, 'Unfortunately, we didn’t agree. So just like that I won’t be at work tomorrow or any other day. I want to thank everyone who supported me and every fan who was with us to the point that we became the most popular no 1 radio station in the country.'

His announcement comes at a time when Mediamax had fired all its newsroom staff, sparing only two employees. The reason for the layoffs was reportedly a 50% pay cut that the employees refused to accept.

Mediamax had laid off employees who had accepted the pay cut, leaving many wondering about the future of the media house.

June 22, 2020, marked the end of an era for Jalang'o and his fans, who had grown accustomed to his witty humor and engaging personality on the breakfast show.
