June 22, 2020 - Kenya's Ministry of Health has confirmed 59 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the national tally to 4,797.

The new cases were identified from 2,354 samples tested since Sunday, with the youngest case being a 7-year-old child and the oldest a 67-year-old individual, according to Dr. Mercy Mwangangi, Chief Administrative Secretary at the Ministry of Health.

The cases are distributed across seven counties: Nairobi (28), Mombasa (21), Kilifi (3), Kiambu (2), Machakos (2), Kisii (1), Bungoma (1), and Uasin Gishu (1).

73 patients have been discharged from various health facilities, increasing the total number of recoveries to 1,680. Unfortunately, two patients have lost their lives, bringing the fatality rate to 125, as reported by Dr. Mwangangi.
