On June 22, 2020, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) responded to claims by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi that the party owes him 4.5 billion shillings.

According to ODM, the money in question relates to a suit filed by the party in relation to the CORD 2013-2017 agreement, which ANC was not a party to.

ODM maintained that Musalia Mudavadi was misleading Kenyans in the whole issue, and that the remarks followed Mudavadi's claims linking the cash to the infighting in Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula's party and ANC.

ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi had accused ODM of being reluctant to share the cash in total disregard of an agreement spelling out how the cash was to be shared among the partner parties.
