On June 22nd, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta gave the Jubilee Party a deadline to inform the Speaker of the National Assembly about changes in the composition of House Committees by June 25th, 2020.
The instruction was given during a Jubilee Coalition National Assembly Parliamentary Group Meeting at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, which was attended by Deputy President Dr. William Ruto, Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju, and 174 Jubilee Coalition Members of the National Assembly.
According to President Kenyatta, the Party will communicate the changes through the new Leader of Government Business, Amos Kimunya, and Majority Chief Whip, Emmanuel Wangwe.
During the meeting, the Party also made some changes to its National Assembly leadership, with Kimunya replacing Garissa Town MP Aden Duale as the new Leader of Government Business, and Eldas MP Adan Keynan being appointed as the new Secretary of the Jubilee Coalition National Assembly PG.
President Kenyatta reminded the legislators to focus on the Coalition's development agenda and advised them against engaging in divisive politics.
