Amidst a backdrop of growing tensions between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, the President has made significant changes to the National Assembly leadership.

On Monday morning, a Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting was held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), where President Kenyatta announced the replacement of Aden Duale with Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya as the new Majority Leader.

The move comes as part of a broader shake-up in the House leadership, with Muturi Kigano taking over as chair of the Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee, and Kanini Kega assuming the role of Budget Committee chair.

Adan Keynan has been appointed as the new Coalition Secretary.

These changes are seen as a significant development in the ongoing power struggle between President Kenyatta and his deputy, with DP Ruto hosting a meeting with legislators who have been dewhipped from various house leaderships in both the National Assembly and the Senate last week.

DP Ruto had also posted a new logo with the slogan 'Jubilee Asili, Sote Pamoja', which is different from Jubilee's 'Tuko Pamoja'.
