Former news anchor Louis Otieno's son, Silas Miami, has made headlines after confirming he is gay and married to his mzungu lover, Patrick, in South Africa.

According to Miami, the two met and married in under a year, despite initially not believing in marriage. In fact, they still do not believe in it, but chose it as the easiest way to be together.

‘I met and married someone just under a year ago. He’s got all the things: kindness, courage, honesty, etc, but, while this is all fine and great, that’s not why I married him,’ Miami wrote on social media.

He explained that neither of them believed in marriage, but after months of exploring options for companionship, they settled on getting married. They maintain an ethically polyamorous situation, as monogamy gives them both migraines.

Miami confirmed that Patrick has taken his second name and that they are proud to be together. He also acknowledged that the coming days might be difficult for them as a couple, but he is ready to face the heat.

The couple is believed to be living in South Africa, where Miami has been based for the last couple of years. Their reveal has led to enormous praise and congratulatory messages from netizens who are proud of them standing for what they believe in.

On the possibility of a traditional wedding, Miami joked that Patrick will get a proper wedding if they clock a decade in their marriage.
