On June 22, 2020, a day that will be etched in the memories of Betty Kyallo and her family, their daughter Ivanna turned six. It was a day filled with joy, love, and gratitude.
Exactly a year ago, the family had faced a daunting challenge when Ivanna spent one and a half months in the ICU. The thought of losing their only child had weighed heavily on Betty's heart, but the grace of God had intervened, and Ivanna had made a miraculous recovery.
As Betty recorded a video for her YouTube channel, Betty Kyallo Lately, she couldn't hold back her emotions. The thought of all that had transpired had brought her to tears.
However, the tears were soon replaced with smiles as the family threw a lavish intimate party for Ivanna. And who was present to celebrate this special day? None other than Dennis Okari, Ivanna's father and co-parent.
As Dennis was given the opportunity to wish Ivanna a happy birthday, he got down on his knees and declared his love for her. His words were filled with emotion and sincerity, and they brought tears to Betty's eyes.
"OKAY, IVANNA. LOOK AT ME. DO I GO ON MY KNEES?" Dennis asked, before getting down and saying, "I WILL BE THE FIRST MAN TO GO ON MY KNEES FOR YOU. BEFORE THAT OTHER BOY COMES. SO, LISTEN. YOU ARE THE MOST INTELLIGENT, SMARTEST, BEAUTIFUL AND PRECIOUS DAUGHTER ANYONE WOULD WANT IN THIS WORLD. I LOVE YOU. LOVE YOU. LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. MAY YOU ENJOY MANY MANY MORE. I PRAY FOR GOD'S BLESSINGS ON YOUR LIFE. YOU ARE GOING TO IMPACT YOUR GENERATION."
As Dennis spoke, the camera focused on Ivanna and her father, but behind the words, Betty was overcome with emotion. It was a moment she had never thought would come, and it was a testament to the love and co-parenting relationship she and Dennis had worked hard to build.
As the family celebrated Ivanna's special day, it was clear that their love and bond had grown stronger with each passing day.
