On January 17th, a shooting incident occurred at B-Club in Nairobi's Kilimani area, leaving DJ Evolve, alias Felix Orinda, with severe injuries.

Orinda was admitted to Nairobi Hospital, where he underwent multiple surgeries over the course of six months.

Following his discharge on Thursday, Kenyans took to social media to express their concerns about the circumstances surrounding Orinda's treatment and the payment of his medical bill, which reportedly totaled Sh17 million.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino addressed these concerns in an interview with Tuko News, stating that he had settled Orinda's medical bill.

According to Owino, the hospital allowed Orinda to be discharged after he cleared his medical fee, which he claimed was Sh17 million.

“I sorted his bill of Sh17 million and that is why the hospital allowed him to be discharged, he won’t have been discharged without the bill being sorted,” Owino said.

However, Owino's statement has raised more questions than answers, with many wondering why he had not publicly acknowledged his role in paying Orinda's medical bill earlier.
