MP Babu Owino has faced backlash on social media after a video emerged of DJ Evolve, alias Felix Orinda, being discharged from Nairobi Hospital on June 18th, 2020, six months after the shooting incident.
Orinda had been bedridden at the hospital following the alleged shooting on January 17th, 2020, at B-Club in Nairobi's Kilimani area.
According to Owino, he settled Orinda's medical bill amounting to Sh17 million, which allowed the hospital to discharge the patient.
“I sorted his bill of Sh17 million and that is why the hospital allowed him to be discharged, he won’t have been discharged without the bill being sorted,” Owino said in an interview with Tuko News.
However, the discharge of Orinda has raised concerns among Kenyans, with many wondering whether Owino had indeed settled the medical bill.
