On June 20, 2020, a terror attack occurred in Forbury Gardens, Reading, leaving three people dead and three others injured.

Mo Saadallah, claiming to be the brother of the suspect, Khairi Saadallah, made a series of posts on Facebook, stating that his brother was 'defending himself' during the attack.

However, he failed to explain how his brother was defending himself.

Khairi Saadallah, a 25-year-old Libyan national, was detained and arrested at the scene and has since been re-arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

He had previously claimed asylum in the UK in 2012, citing threats to his life from Islamists in Libya.

Khairi Saadallah has at least one previous conviction for a minor violent offence and is believed to have spent at least 12 months in jail.

He was being supervised by the National Probation Service at the time of the attack.

Police later carried out a raid on an apartment in a block on Basingstoke Road, less than a mile from the scene, where a controlled explosion was heard shortly after 1am.

Mo Saadallah's posts also included racist comments about the UK, stating that it is a 'racist country'.
