June 21, 2020 - Liverpool's quest for their first league title in nearly 30 years was put on hold after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton at Goodinson Park.
Despite being on the cusp of winning their first league title in nearly three decades, Liverpool's title hopes were delayed by the barren draw.
Everton, who were without several key players, including Theo Walcott and Yerry Mina, put up a spirited performance to frustrate the Reds.
Both teams had their share of scoring chances, with Joe Matip coming close in the 30th minute and Roberto Firmino missing a decent chance four minutes later.
However, it was Everton's Tom Davies who had the best chance to sink Liverpool, but his effort rattled the post in the 80th minute.
The match ended 0-0, with Liverpool now having to wait until June 24 to be confirmed champions, pending the outcome of other matches.
