Chelsea's Frank Lampard has reason to smile after his team's dramatic comeback against Aston Villa on June 21, 2020.

The London club, who had lost just one of their last six league fixtures, dominated the opening exchanges of the match at Villa Park.

However, Aston Villa broke the deadlock in the 35th minute through Anwar El Ghazi, who fired to the bottom corner to beat Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea restored parity via Christian Pulisic in the 60th minute, capitalising on Cesar Azpilicueta's well-swinging cross.

Just two minutes later, Olivier Giroud doubled the advantage, riffling a deflected shot from Azpilicueta's effort.

The victory leaves Chelsea sitting fourth on the charts with 51 points, five above fifth-placed Man United.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa face the prospect of being relegated as they occupy 19th place, a point off safety.
