Following the ousting of Moses Akaranga's administration, Vihiga Governor Wilbur Ottichilo has presented a list of new county executives to the assembly for vetting.
Among the nominees are Mr. Geoffrey Vukaya, CEO of Vihiga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who has been nominated for the Trade, Tourism, and Industrialisation docket.
Other nominees include Mr. Kenneth Keseko, a Botswana-based lecturer with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, who will oversee Transport and Infrastructure if approved.
Ms. Pamela Kimwele, a consultant in project planning, and Ms. Felistus Okumu, a principal at Tabani Friends School in Bungoma, are the only women nominated to the region's Cabinet.
Ms. Kimwele is poised to take charge of Administration and Coordination of County Affairs, while Ms. Okumu may oversee Education, Science, and Technical docket.
Other nominees include Mr. Henry Lumbasio (Physical Planning, Land, and Housing), Mr. Alfred Indeche (Finance and Economic Planning), and Mr. Humfrey Kisia (Youth, Sports, Culture, and Social Services).
Also on the list are Professor Justus Inonda (Environment, Water, Energy, and Natural Resources), Dr. Amos Kutwa (Health Services), and Mr. Paul Jivese (Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives).
