Blackout Expected in Embu and Kilifi Counties on Monday

Kenya Power has announced that Embu and Kilifi counties will experience a blackout on Monday, June 22, as part of scheduled maintenance.

The blackout, which is expected to affect a few areas in the counties, is necessary to allow Kenya Power technicians to carry out maintenance work.

According to KPLC's social media announcement, the affected areas in Kilifi include Jaribu Trading Center, Pwani University, Jaribunui Quarries, China Communication, China Wuyi, and SS Metta among others.

In Embu, the areas that will be affected are Kathangari Market, Kathakwa Secondary School, Nguviu Mission, Sunmoon Hotel, Kangethia Market, and Kibugu Market among other processing plants.

KPLC has apologized for the inconvenience that the blackout may cause to the locals in the affected areas.
