David Murathe Warns Jubilee Party MPs Ahead of Monday's PG Meeting ¶

Jubilee Party vice-chair David Murathe has warned party MPs against missing the upcoming parliamentary group meeting scheduled for Monday, June 22. He threatened disciplinary action against any MP who fails to attend the meeting.
Murathe's warning comes as speculation mounts that the meeting could lead to the ouster of Aden Duale as majority leader in the National Assembly. The meeting is set to be presided over by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre.
According to an official communication from the party, the meeting is meant to bring onboard parties that recently signed a post-election coalition with the Jubilee Party. The coalition includes the Kalonzo Musyoka-led Wiper party and Isaac Ruto's Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM).
However, Murathe's strong-worded statement did not sit well with a section of Kenyans who took to social media to express their discontent. Some accused him of dictatorship and intimidation.
"Missing tomorrow's PG meeting should not come to anyone's mind. In recent, we have witnessed a lot of disloyalty, insubordination, impunity, disobedience and direct insults to our party leader. That must come to an end," Murathe said.
