As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect our daily lives, many parents have found themselves in the unexpected role of personal tutor. While it may not be the most ideal situation, it's an opportunity to shape what your child learns and make it a fun experience.

Published on June 21, 2020, the article highlights seven ways to make learning fun during quarantine. These include using toys, song and dance, positive reinforcement, exercise fun day, story times, spontaneous quizzes and lessons, and educative cartoons.

Using toys is a great way to make learning fun for your child. You can buy educational toys or make your own at home using simple items like cardboard, markers, and paint. Involving your child in the DIY process and giving them creative direction over what games they would love is also a great idea.

Another way to make learning fun is through song and dance. Using songs and fun dances is a great way to boost your child's memory skills. It's much easier to remember something through song as compared to bland numbers and words in a book.

Positive reinforcement is also essential in making learning fun for your child. Don't forget to encourage them as you continue with their lessons. You have to be their biggest cheerleader even when they're struggling to understand certain concepts.

Exercise fun day is another way to make learning fun for your child. Keeping fit will always be at the forefront of education, but to be honest, it's not always fun. Try and find interesting ways to make exercise more enjoyable for them so they will associate it with positive experiences.

Story times are also a great way to gauge your child's learning progress at home. You can do short skits or read books with them while they fill in the blanks in the stories. This will be a great grammar exercise for them to keep them on their toes.

Spontaneous quizzes and lessons are also a great way to make learning fun for your child. They don't always need to know they're being tested. You can simply ask them random questions at random times like asking them to number the birds they see or the colors they can spot.

Finally, educative cartoons are a great way to make learning fun for your child. There's literally no child that doesn't love cartoons. They'll love watching fun interactive ones that you can easily find all over the internet.
