On June 20, 2020, a heated debate erupted on Twitter after former Director of Digital Communications at the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) Dennis Itumbi revealed President Uhuru Kenyatta's likely choices for replacing Majority Leader Aden Duale.
According to Itumbi, the President is expected to make a move after 130 MPs collected signatures to oust Duale, citing a lack of trust.
Itumbi took to his Twitter handle to pose a question, 'Jubilee Asili vs Jubilee NASA. On Monday will Hon Mulu replace the Majority Leader or will it be the Kamukunji MP?'
His tweet sparked a reaction from Kenyans, with Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika suggesting that Stivo Simple Boy could be a potential candidate for the position.
However, not everyone was pleased with Kihika's suggestion, with some users responding with a lack of respect for the Kenyan artist.
One user stated, 'Acha using respect Stevo simple boy….at least he entertains us.'
Another user added, 'Hiyo ni kumdharau Stivo, and he’s even better than you put together.'
