On June 20, 2020, Lilian Mutua, the wife of Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, embarked on a 35km run to celebrate her 35th birthday.
Starting from Milima ya Mua, Lilian ran through the hills and eventually reached the A & L restaurant area, where her husband was waiting to join her for the final 10 kilometers.
According to Gavana Mutua, he took Lilian to the highlands of Mua Hills in Kaseve at 4:00 am, where she and other athletes began the 35km run to celebrate her birthday.
'I'm so proud of Lilian. Every year on her birthday, my love, you make me feel so special,' Gavana Mutua said in a heartfelt message.
As they completed the final 10 kilometers, Gavana Mutua expressed his joy and love for his wife, saying, 'I'm so happy to have shared this special moment with you, my love.'
