Kenya has confirmed 4478 cases of coronavirus, with 104 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
According to Rashid Aman, the Acting Director-General of Health, the new cases were reported from a sample of 2820 people tested in the past 24 hours.
"Today, 104 people have been confirmed to have coronavirus after a sample of 2820 people were tested. The total number of cases is now 4478," Aman said.
Of the new cases, 76 are men and 28 are women. The cases were reported from various counties, including Nairobi, which reported 60 cases, and Mombasa, which reported 33 cases.
Other counties that reported cases include Kilifi, Busia, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta.
Despite the increase in cases, Aman reported that 36 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1586.
However, two people have died from the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 121.
