On June 18, 2020, Deputy President William Ruto unveiled a new office in Nairobi's Kilimani area, marking a significant development in his ongoing fallout with President Kenyatta.

The new office, dubbed Jubilee Asili Centre, was launched amidst a gathering of Jubilee MPs who were recently ousted from parliamentary committees and leadership.

Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen described the Jubilee Asili Centre as a meeting place for Ruto allies, who were denied access to the Jubilee Party headquarters in Pangani.

"We had a meeting with the DP at the Jubilee Asili Centre. It is a Centre for all members, not parallel. It is the Centre for Jubilee Party members who believe in the original idea of the party, including the implementation of the promises we gave to the people," Murkomen said.

Jubilee deputy secretary-general Caleb Kositany, also known as Soy MP, referred to the Centre as a "new home".

"Finally we have a place we can call home. Keep your seat belts on," Kositany wrote on Twitter.
