Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) Director General Mohammed Badi has joined the growing list of Kenyans who have been tested for Covid-19.

On June 18, 2020, Major General Badi underwent a Covid-19 test at his office in the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in the presence of Dr. Ouma Oluga, the Chief Health Officer in NMS, and Dr. Elphas Shilaho Yakhama from Medical Services, STC Casino Health Centre.

The test was part of a broader exercise to test all staff under the Executive Office of the President, which NMS is under, for Covid-19 to determine their status.

Four staff members from State House had tested positive for Covid-19 earlier in the week.

Director General Badi urged the public to volunteer and get tested to know their Covid-19 status.

Almost all NMS staff members also underwent Covid-19 testing.

Kenya had recorded 119 Covid-19 deaths from 4,374 positive cases out of 133,543 samples tested for the novel coronavirus as of the time of the report.
