Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has spoken about his lavish spending habits, revealing his biggest regret after purchasing a 12-seater plane that remained idle during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking with comedian Jalang'o on June 19, 2020, Kabogo detailed that he regretted purchasing land that remained unproductive and spending millions on the plane.

He highlighted that the plane, which he had hoped would be of assistance to Kenyans stranded abroad, ended up roaming around without being of any use.

"I have purchased a lot of things and at times I believe I have gone overboard. If I had a better way to assist Kenyans I would have done so but my 12 seater plane just runs around," Kabogo stated.

Despite his regrets, Kabogo expressed no remorse for not being in office, stating that he was enjoying a peaceful time with his family away from the precincts of power.

"Why should I regret yet leadership is my hobby. I am a businessman and all I want to do is make Kenya a better place. I want to work for Kenyans. Right now I can sleep up to 9 a.m.," he said.

He also expressed frustration at the fact that he was unable to assist Kiambu residents who came to his gate seeking help, citing the fact that the MPs, MCAs, and the incumbent Governor possessed the money allocated to the community.

Notably, Kabogo owns an amphibious car, one of his prized possessions, and is also looking to purchase a New Bentley Bentayga, which costs up to Ksh48 million.
