Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised midfielder Paul Pogba's impressive return to the team after an ankle injury, saying he is 'desperate to make up for lost time.'
On June 19, 2020, Pogba, 27, made his first appearance since December 26, 2019, coming off the bench to win a penalty in the 1-1 draw against Tottenham.
"Paul Pogba is a fantastic player and is finally fit again," Solskjaer told BBC Radio 5 Live.
Despite playing only 34 minutes in the match, Pogba completed 17 of his 18 passes, won the ball back four times, and managed two blocks, earning praise from Solskjaer for his "all-round midfielder" performance.
Solskjaer also highlighted Pogba's leadership qualities, saying he had called him before the match to show his enthusiasm and passion for the game.
"He has had a horrific injury-hit season and he is desperate to make up for lost time," Solskjaer said. "Paul has always wanted to play. He loves football."
